Northern Komfort

Northern Komfort is the brainchild of Jason McCurdy. Started a few years back it was set up to promote new and aspiring musicians and artists. Whatever the flavour whatever the taste NK is all about the music people!

My Background was initially rave music, and I was resident at Bowlers Asylum night in Manchester, Kinetic and Reality in Stoke numerous other raves around the country ballooning on the mic. I was usually received with open ears and arms mainly because I was part of the crowd half the time. I then moved into the DJ'ing scene hosting my first night Scream at North in Manchester before promoting Scream at The Void in Stoke.

After moving into the live Hip Hop scene in the early 90's I had much success with Tokane the oldskool cum vocal hip hop group. Now I role with the Drunken Munks and continue to balloon on mics and enjoy the vibe.

Now its all about developing new talent. My Saturday show on www.unityradio.fm from 22.00 - 00.00 is going down well and fast developing a cult following and with the launch of the new Northern Komfort club night in March this year it has been an all round positive and successful 08 for us. Looking into 09 we hope to keep going from strength to strength
