Er that will be the Next Men...........SORRY !

The ever increasing popularity of Northern Komfort @ Moho has been helped with the news that the Cambridge come Londoners The Nextmen are bringing one of their festival-stopping performances to our city!!

These boys are and have been banging out sets at numerous dates across the UK and Europe, and festivals including, The Big Chill, Beachbreak & Wakestock, and we’ve now got them in Manchester just for you!!

This eclectic production duo have carved another shiny gem from London’s lovely low-end underbelly with a mix of electronic music styles in the form of their fourth studio LP ‘Join The Dots’ due to hit the streets in August. In typical Nextmen fashion the game has been sonically upped to dizzying heights as ‘Join The Dots’ progressed like a paint by numbers prayer of affection through all the genres and styles that are loved by the pair and their fans alike. The album was born from their explosive and eclectic DJ sets, which have been the focus of global critical acclaim over the last 12 years.

Fresh from supporting Pharoahe Monch and pushing there debut album we also have Tactical Thinking, these guys are ill !!! A coalition of MC’s, DJ’s and Producers brought together by one common aim, to make you bang your funkin’ head! Tactical Thinking’s debut album “Too Broke To Go Solo” bangs harder than a Mosher with Parkinson’s. The album is a blend of hardcore hip hop head nodders and neck jerking club bangers and has nothing to do with the fact the boys cant get enough money together to put out their solo albums..... honest!

NK are all about pushing local, break thru talent that hit the spot and these boys are exactly that !!

“there’s a rat in mi kitchen” actually no its “The mouse outfit” (sorry!!) This awesome 8 piece have been fast making a name for themselves in and around Manchester. Having played in some of this summer’s up & coming festivals we are glad that we have been able to lure them in to a trap at NK (sorry). Bringing you a mix and blend of all things funk, hip hop, soul and darn right wickedness, yet another reason not to miss this party!

At last.......... We have managed to secure the spindalicous services of Manchester’s favourite, the one and only Rich Reason! The fella as you know has been pushing the scene hard over the years regularly appearing on the decks at APE, Public enemy the warehouse project and not to mention his own night Hit & Run the ladies favourite will be heating it up at Moho with his special mix an blend of all things dope...........Bring It !!!

Last but by no means least it’s that Drunken Pest Jmack, for those of you that know him.......Unlucky! for those of you that don’t .........Good work !!!

As if being one half of the Drunken Munks isn’t enough, he has to go and get involved on the decks as well. Anyway I’ve heard he’s got a record box (yes record box!) full of hip hop classics and party jam’s such as Slick Rick’s La di da di, Eric B’ paid in full and various other stuff like Lords of the underground I guess he’s gonna be keeping it real oldskool !!

DJ FOOD AT MOHO LIVE 6TH AUGUST 2009

NK returns to Moho Live on august 6th for some more live entertainment. A big shout goes out to the fun loving folk who turned up to see the dub pistols smash it, was an extremely fun night.

This next event is all about break thru Mancunian talent headlined by a king from the south loved by most from up north!!!! with some of the finest acts both signed and unsigned getting us ready for the weekend.

We have already confirmed No Life who are being tipped as the new prodigy!! Big shoes to fill but they are more than built to fill them.

Zenfo will be joining us again for the first time in a long time, now if you have not seen this act then you do not want to miss them, with a mix of witty lyrics, punchy rhymes, tight riffs and stage presence I’m glad they’re back at NK

Manchester’s first Lady, Lady J will be with us performing her soon to be released new single Electro Whore, Jay is one of the hardest working artists I know and we look forward to her performance at Northern Komfort.

The Drunken Munks will back in the house for the first time since early 08, following on from their performance supporting Giant Panda and People Under the stairs the drunken 2 are back with some new beats your listening pleasure.

We have now confirmed that Mind On Fire will be playing a special back to back set with TNC as seen at the Mad ferret festival, For those of you that didn’t see it now is the chance !!

Continuing the theme of Mancunian greatness we have a special set from Critical Beat down!! This is a Set with Mr CRF & Pressure from The Pedigree Chumps, there will be vinyl skills mixed with some MC dopeness....... ILL

Long time Northern Komfort favourite, At Large's OMAS(myspace.com/djomas) will be back on the scene crispy and clean with a mash up off all things Funk, Hip Hop and downright drum dirty, as always bound to be winner. Look out for the debut 7" dropping early October 2009 on my first moth/kudos records.

Dirty North have also just confirmed that they will be getting involved with the August party, DN from Wythenshawe have fused together rap with a live Reggae band and created somehthing truely awsome, with their loyal following supporting them were ever they go its the cherry on top for this August special !!

And last but by no means least DJ FOOD the turntablism legend is gonna be right here in Manchester at MOHO o yes!!! Serving us a hot platter of visual and listening pleasure this is surely going to be a set not to be missed.
